my lucky day

This must definetly be my lucky day.
I've just turned in my application for Stine Goya as her personal assistent. I hope I get an interview. They seemed really friendly, and the atmosphere was as nice and quiet as I thought. Afterwards I met my friend and we went to see a jazz concert here at the festival. Frankly he had to go shortly after we arrived, but I stayed. And now I'm glad I did... I met a really nice musician named Philip with lovely curls and a sailor cap. (I know, I know - this blog isn't supposed to include men, but afterall they are a part of life. From time to time a good part.)
Even so all day people have been helping me and smiling at me. (This blue jumpsuit I'm wearing must be lucky.) It's a relief to know that people out in the real world still are ind to each other after I've been at Roskilde Festival. I've got faith in the human race.

This year is my very first at Roskilde Festival. Music, booze'n'beer, friends, hangovers, tans, tents, kisses, greasy hair, no sleep, heat, hunger, etc.

I gotta love it. We'll see...

Project: Thai cookbook.

Now I've made two more recipes from the thai cookbook:

- Cucumber salad (with a clear vinegar taste. Not a success.)
(1 out of 5 stars.)

- Chicken with cashews.
This is a wonderful dish; simple. It tastes good without beeing too special. A few days ago, I made a dish; fried salmon with cayenne pepper. It was way too hot.
(4 out of 5 stars.)

(I promise that I will put up the recipe, when there is one that everyone should know about and thy. But this far, there hasn't been such recipe.)

The first two dishes are made:

Coconut soup with chicken

(With lemon grass, garlic, ginger, shallots, lemon juice etc.)

Mango salad

(With regular salad, chilli pieces, lemon juice and ginger again.)

Very delicious indeed. 4 stars out of 5. (Both of them.)

I am about to start a project. A project that I've put on my list of things to do before I die. It says that I am to cook all the recipes from a cookbook.
I have now chosen a thai cookbook.
Well, once in a while I'll put in an a post about a meal I've made marked "Project: Thai cookbook", and hopefully someday I will be able to cross it of my list.

day four - I've just locked myself in an apartment in the city with two men

The two men are cats, and the apartment is my sister's, but even so I'm having the greatest time. I'm borrowing it untill sunday. (Actually I'm just here because they needed someone to take care of the cats while they're gone, but to me it's pretty much the same.) I feel great. Right after I got home from school I went out shopping for groceries. And, how incredible it may sound, I just bought fruit and vegetables. I'm proud to say so. (A girl is always on a diet, isn't she?)
So the rest of this evening has passed by making dinner, reading, checking out the neighborhood, listening to the lovely Jamie Cullum (plus Kings of Leon) og just taking things slowly. I could get used to this.

Bands that I think deserves more attention:

Death Cab for Cutie
With their light, magical sound they accomplish to freeze the moment, not to mention their mosicvideos that is impossible to take eyes off. The melodies are simple and not so catchy, but that makes the feeling more dreamy.
The vokal is very inspiring; he seems to talk to himself in a singing kind of way. The lyrics are very original and sometimes banal, but that just underline their entire message.

Another magical band is the danish band Mew.
They have a powerfull, mindblowing sound, which has inspired more than one band, inkluding paramore, although it is a complete different genre.
Most of Mew's melodies are very catchy and when you've first heard a song, you will hear it beeing played over and over again in your head.

day two - schoolday

"I once arranged a swappingday, and all I got was this fabulous knitted sweater."

I got it from an old friend yesterday at "swappingday". I'm very honered to resieve it, because her grandmother once knitted it. Very cool. That's what I call recycle.

Well, it's not all I got. I found a bunch of other great things, and the other girls did, too. Next time it will be better.

Schoolday. Boring Monday morning.

First up at 6 o'clock, then school and pianolessings, then - when I finally get home - I have two whole assignments waiting for me. It's not really how I planned my favourite monday evening to look like, but even so I enjoyed myself during the process. I actually never got to that point, where I usually get bored and start thinking too much.

On my wall in my room (which I will probably soon move out of in the hope of an apartment in the city) I have a list hanging. It's a "before I die"-list.

The list is in neverendig growth, but as it seems I have lots of time to do them. I don't expect to die rescently. Eventhough I have deleted some things, that I've done already and some day it will have lines all over, meaning that I would have done them all.

I think you should make one, too. It makes me happy looking at it, cause it brings memories of the time I went nude bathing with my new school, the time I visited Sacre coeur in Paris or the time I collected for charity. To name a few.

Maybe it's time to do one more thing from the list?

day one - swapping-day

first day.
I've invited a bunch of girls home to my place to switch cloth  etc. (all the old stuff that lies in the back of the closet) and have drinks. The problem is that I thought we would be like 10-20 girls. But no - we are 4 (5 tops - if the girl I can't get in touch with somehow stops by.) I feel like a failure.
I have two and a half hour till they come, so there's no way I can call of now.Anyway - now I'm going to look at the positive side,'cause there's nothing to do about it anyway.

It's not my fault that everyone else had to work, see an old friend or practice for a play.
The girls that actually do come are quite nice.
Some of us are gonna make dinner later. (but we don't have anything to eat in the house.)

Well, that's it, I guess.
Good luck for me.

Maybe I should start getting dressed.

Well, they are in fact out of stock, so maybe I should start doing something with my life without them, and by the way i thought it would be a proper name for my blog.

Why did I start this blog? I'l tell you. I want to experience the world. Really live.
